First off, I'm sorry it took so long to post something regarding today's meeting, but we had a crazy unexpected busy day! Second, thank you SO MUCH for all the prayers today! We definitely could feel them!!!
The meeting today went as good as could've been expected. On the way there we were talking about how we felt as if we were heading to a sports tryout or the first day of school...we were SO nervous we had butterflies! She and her parents were awesome though; full of life and very uplifting. She dove right into asking questions about us and our thoughts on adoption, shared more in depth her adoption story, and talked more about her thoughts and plans.
She ended by saying she was hoping to talk to the birthdad this week as school starts on Wednesday and she has a class with him. He is still on the fence and undecided as his parents are having a big sway on his decision. She is hoping that he would be willing to meet us with his parents, and that maybe that would help them be ok with the adoption plan. They are very naive about adoption and have a fear that they'll never hear from the baby again once he's with a family.
Please continue to pray this week that the conversation goes well with her and the birthdad, and that the birthdad's parents would have a change of heart to do what is best for this baby. Also pray for the girl as she goes back to school this week as there is bound to be comments made...Pray for protection and strength!

I will continue to pray for God's will for you, the birth mom, the baby, and everyone else involved. What a difficult decision for the mom and so nerve-racking for you. My heart goes out to you. I know you both will be wonderful parents..your hearts are so close to His.
