Curve Ball Details...

So the curve ball that we learned of on Thursday morning was that there is another potential birth dad in the picture through an unfortunate circumstance. Claire didn't say anything until last Monday night, as she was in turmoil not wanting to say anything about it...and understandably so. I can't even imagine what she must be going through... However, if it is this 2nd birth dad, who we'll call Tyrone, the truth would have come eventually as he is black (mixed baby!). So at the moment after the baby is born they will do a paternity test and if it comes back as Tyrone's the adoption will be finalized as he wants nothing to do with him. However, if it is Tyler's everything is still up in the air, as we don't know what his decision is yet.

Learning this new information does bring some clarity to some things though; why Claire has been in labor so many times, why Tyler is bring somewhat difficult, etc. Tyler knew of this unfortunate incident the night it happened, as Claire called him that night. So he's probably thinking, "this may not even be my child!"

So...all we can do now is wait, pray, and trust God. We did find out yesterday that Tyler's parents are going to pay for the test, so that was good news. We haven't heard anything regarding Claire going into labor again though. She's at 36 weeks this week though, so at least she made it this far!

Please continue to pray...especially for Claire. I can't even imagine what she must be feeling, thinking, hoping... She definitely needs to know that God is with her and loves her more than anything! Please also pray for her parents as they just found out about this 2nd potential birth dad. Their minds must be spinning! Also pray for Tyler and his parents that they would choose to do God's will, even if they don't know it. In addition, Tyrone needs prayer as well. We don't know much about him, but we do know he needs Jesus!

You guys are truly amazing! Thank you for your continued support and love. By God's grace, he has given us strength to endure with joyful hearts...HE IS FAITHFUL!
