Yes, you read that correctly...Kiley has chosen us as the adoptive parents for her baby girl due May 1! It's kind of strange and funny at the same time how unreactive we were when we heard the news. Don't get me wrong, we are very excited, but very guarded at the same time. As we venture forward with our 4th birthparent, we are realizing that until our baby is in our arms, they ain't ours! There's only 13 weeks or less until she's born, but at the same time there are 13 weeks, plus 48 hours of waiting not knowing the final outcome! :)We are excited to be a part of Kiley's life though. Maybe not so much in person (as we don't know exactly what our relationship will look like), but for sure spiritually in prayer. She's open to us being a part of a lot of the process, in labor and birthing classes, as well as Michelle in the room during the delivery. We'll see how it all turns out, but it is neat to know she's open to it.
Please especially be praying for Zach, the birth dad. That is one of the biggest hurdles we have yet to clear. As time goes on and we know more, we'll definitely keep you posted, but in the meantime, thank you so much for your continued prayers for all parties involved!
